Nearmap needed a new marketing website to match their brand refresh — plus a component library that could scale across future products. I joined as a frontend engineer, working directly with Nearmap's design team to implement their vision. My focus was translating design specs into a custom system built on Material UI, and shipping production code that matched their designers' intent.
My team and I delivered frontend code for the new website and helped build a reusable design system and component library. This project deepened my understanding of how designers think and made me a better collaborator on the other side of the handoff.
